Adding Machine is "Superb," "A Vital Re-Imagining of Classic Theatre"
Local theatre critic Gary Panetta had a chance to see Bradley's production of The Adding Machine, and he said:
Such is the message of Elmer Rice's 1923 classic play, "The Adding Machine," which repeats tonight at Bradley University's Hartmann Center.
There is much else besides mollusks and men to this superb student production, much else in the form of a host of computer-driven, multimedia effects: One actor is beamed in live from the University of Central Florida; another is beamed in live from the University of Waterloo; a third appears live from a remote location in Hartmann Center. All three speak and respond to performers and audiences of the more three-dimensional sort.
