Diversity and Independence: Recognition of the great strength in the diversity of our disciplines:

  • Understanding the communication process including knowledge of the broad field that constitutes modern communication encompassing historical, theoretical, literary, oral, and technological; knowledge of, and experience in, public expression in a cultural context.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the arts including the importance of the variety of artistic expression; participation in making art as well as in studying its historical perspective, theoretical analysis, and critical review; and understanding the nature of symbolic expression.

Mentoring:

The special method of teaching and learning creative disciplines.

Collaboration:

The methodology for much of our creative work and that which enables the communication process.
