COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATIONS AND FINE ARTS
Minor in Fine Arts The College of Communications and Fine Arts offers a minor in fine arts that includes courses in the appreciation, history, and practice of the arts. The minor is intended for students with an interest in the fine arts who would benefit from an approach encompassing art, music, and theatre. Students will find the minor a way to discover–or rediscover-the importance of the arts in society and in their personal lives. The minor requires 21 hours to complete.
DEPARTMENT OF ART MINORS
- Minor in Studio Art. The studio art minor has two possible directions: two-dimensional or three-dimensional. Each requires 21 hours for completion
- Minor in Art History. This minor requires 18 hours for completion.
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION MINOR
Journalism minor. It is not open to department majors. This minor requires 21 hours for completion.
INTERACTIVE MEDIA MINOR
IM minor Requires 21 hours to compete and consists of courses that provide an overview of skills in the program. The minor can be applied to a variety of major programs of study. Course work will be selected in consultation with an advisor.
DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC MINOR
Music minor. This minor requires 24 hours for completion.
DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE ARTS
Theatre Arts minor. This minor requires 18 hours to compete. Theatre Arts minors are encouraged to take THE 131, Introduction to Theatre, as their General Education Fine Arts course.
