Interactive Rock Show
More than 1,500 students brought Late Night BU “Interactive Rock Show” to life January 21 in the Markin Family Student Recreation Center, participating in highly active, and interactive, games such as Glow and Jump Around. Meanwhile, theatre arts students presented lip-sync performances of rock star personas on stage while the student audience rated them via personal mobile devices. Also at the event, students controlled the event’s lighting, audio and video through iPads featuring applications created by interactive media students and alumni. The production was a collaborative effort between the departments of Interactive Media and Theatre Arts and the Division of Student Affairs. IM students utilized skills learned in each of the department’s new concentrations: animation and visual effects, game design, and web and application design.
