Faculty Recital - Lisette Kielson, recorder
Baroque Music Recital at Bradley University
Professional recorder player and Bradley University affiliate instructor Lisette Kielson welcomes fellow baroque music specialists from Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) in a recital on Saturday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, 1417 W. Barker Avenue, on the campus of Bradley University.
Lisette is joined by Luther College Professors Spencer Martin (baroque violin) and Kathryn Reed (harpsichord) as well as Luther senior student Phuc Phan (baroque cello) in a program that celebrates the beauty and virtuosity of the Italian and German Baroque.
The ensemble captures the sonority, grace, and whimsy in the chamber music of this period with works by baroque masters Vivaldi, JS Bach, and Telemann and by their lesser-known contemporaries and forerunners Merula, Cima, and Schmelzer, among others.
Admission is free and open to the public with a reception following the performance. For more information, please contact Lisette Kielson at 309-750-3234.
