Terry Solomonson, M.M.Ed.

Assistant Professor of Music, instructor of tuba. B.M.E., Education, Murray State University; M.M.Ed, University of Louisville School of Music, additional graduate studies, University of Illinois. Formerly a member of Chautauqua Festival Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera Orchestra, New Louisville Brass Quintet, Owensboro Symphony, Bloomington-Normal Symphony, and Knox-Galesburg Symphony. Currently principal tubist with Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Professor of Tuba at Western Illinois University. He has served as a soloist with the Louisville Symphony Band, Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Peoria Municipal Band, Prairie Wind Ensemble, and many high school bands. Has performed on and/or produced CDs and other recordings for Crystal Records, CBS, Parkway Productions, Murray Hill Productions, Alfred Publishing, Caterpillar Image Labs, PBS, NPR, and Mirror Image Productions. Member of T.U.B.A, the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors (NACWPI), IMEA, MENC, and faculty advisor to the Kappi Psi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
