Lisette Kielson, M.M.
Lisette Kielson has performed to acclaim on both recorder and flute in the United States and Europe. She holds a BM and MM in flute performance from Indiana University and a Diploma in recorder performance from The Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands. Lisette is founder, artistic director and performer with L’Ensemble Portique—dedicated to presenting both baroque and contemporary music. The ensemble’s activities include tours, residencies, workshops and festivals, broadcasts, and recordings. Lisette’s love of teaching and expertise in directing chamber music ensembles attracts frequent invitations to lead workshops and master classes throughout the country. She is on the faculty of the Whitewater Early Music Festival and maintains a private studio in Bloomington-Normal, IL. Lisette serves as President on the American Recorder Society’s Board of Directors and Associate Director of the Recorder Orchestra of the Midwest.
