Joe Roman, M.M.
Mr. Roman holds music education degrees from Vandercook College of Music and Colorado State University. He has taught previously at Herscher High School, Olivet Nazerene University, and Colorado State University. He retired from a 22-year tenure at Canton High School in 2008, a year in which he was selected as Educator of the Year by the Canton Chamber of Commerce.
Besides his duties at Bradley, Joe also performs on English horn and percussion with the Prairie Wind Ensemble and serves as an assistant golf coach at Canton High School.
Joe has performed as principal oboist with the North Side Symphony of Chicago, the Kankakee Symphony, the Fort Collins (Colorado) Symphony, and the Cheyenne (Wyoming) Symphony Orchestra. During his time at Colorado State University, Mr. Roman performed with the CSU Faculty Wind Quintet and Trio as an oboist, as well as the top jazz ensemble on his saxophone.
