Elena Gabor, Ph.D.
Elena Gabor received her B.A. in Journalism and her M.A. in Media Management from the University of Bucharest, Romania. Subsequently, she received a second M.A. in Communication from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg, VA) and her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN). Her industry experience includes working as a journalist for a French-language daily newspaper in Bucharest, as a collaborator for the National Youth Radio, and as a marketing assistant for Elle Magazine - Romania. Elena Gabor has been at Bradley University since 2008, where she has taught courses in the Organizational Communication unit, as well as Research Methods in Communication. Her research interests focus on issues of occupational socialization, work, identity, and careers.
