Undergraduate
- Bradley students transferring into the program must have a 2.25 grade point average for at least 12 hours of course work in order to declare a major and/or minor in the Interactive Media Program.
- Students transferring from other institutions must have a 2.25 overall grade point average to be admitted to a major and/or minor in the department. External transfer students not having a 2.25 overall grade point average must earn a 2.25 at Bradley for at least 12 hours of course work before declaring a major and/or minor in the program. Courses taken at other institutions must be evaluated by the Admissions Office and then by the programs’ advisor for transfer students.
- Current Bradley students and external transfer students who meet program admission requirements and who wish to change to or add an Interactive Media major must first meet with the program chair for an initial academic advisement session.
Requirements:- Students must earn a C or better in every core course.
- Students may not enroll in Interactive Media courses for which a core course is a prerequisite unless they have earned a C or better in the core course.
- For graduation, all program majors must have a grade point average of 2.25 for all courses taken in the major and/or minor (including courses outside the program required for the major).
- Program majors and/or minors may not apply a course to more than one Interactive Media program requirement, with the exception of IM450 and IM491.
Interactive Media majors must complete all core coursework, additional required courses, and one of the concentrations (Animation and Visual Effects, Game Design, or Web and Application Design).

Minor
Requirements:The Interactive Media program offers two minors, an Interactive Media minor and a Game Design minor. Note that the Game Design minor is currently only offered to Computer Science and Computer Information Systems majors.
INTERACTIVE MEDIA MINOR (21 hours)
The Interactive Media program offers a minor to assist students interested in expanding their knowledge in the dynamic world of multimedia design and development. It focuses on new media technologies in creative production of multiple forms of interactive digital media. The minor requires twenty-one hours to complete.
Required Interactive Media Design Courses (9 hours):

Required Theory Courses (3 hours): Choose one of the following:

- An additional 9 hours of Interactive Media courses, with a minimum of six hours at the 300 level or higher
GAME DESIGN MINOR (24 hours)
The Game Design Minor is currently available to Computer Science and Computer Information Systems Majors.
The Game Design Minor contributes to the engagement of users through a highly popular form of interactive media. The Minor focuses on the development of games, including gameplay, storytelling and concepting, visual and audio media, and team work among artists, programmers, and storytellers. With the explosion of growth in the game industry, this Minor will allow students to develop skills in the growing fields of both traditional games and non-traditional interactive design positions.
