The American Advertising Federation (AFA) serves students with a primary interest in Advertising. The organization is a collaborating group with the American Advertising Federation. They plan regional competitions and various field trips including a major trip to Chicago advertising agencies.
Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the premiere national, pre-professional organization for those interested in a public relations career. Professional development, assistance in job and intern searches and community involvement are augmented by guest speakers and field trips to provide practical public relations experience.
Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) is the Department’s oldest student group. It assists students interested in print and broadcast journalism. Those interested in newspaper, magazine and radio/television news are encouraged to participate with this group.
Bradley University Media Society (BUMS) develops relationships between Electronic Media students and media professionals through participation in local and national conferences and production competitions.
Bradley Speech Team is recognized nationally as the most successful speech team in the country with more than 36 American Forensic Association and National Forensic Association national championships. Students compete throughout the year in tournaments across the nation. They host the L.E. Norton Memorial Invitational Tournament in November for collegiate competition and the George Armstrong Heart of Illinois Individual Events Tournament for high school students in December.

Midstate Magazine is the student produced, professional quality television program. The half hour show is aired weekly and highlights the news, arts, and special events happening in the Peoria and Bradley community. Midstate Magazine provides students the opportunity to gain real world television production experience in a professional setting.
