On behalf of the faculty of the Department of Communication, it is my pleasure to welcome you our growing and vibrant department. The department offers exciting academic programs in Advertising, Electronic Media, Journalism, Organizational Communication, Public Relations and Sports Communication. I hope you’ll spend time reading about the accomplishments of our award-winning faculty, the success stories of our graduates, and the achievements of our current students. You will read about innovations in the classroom, as well as real world experiences outside of the classroom. I hope you’ll take the time to learn about our nationally recognized speech team, our student organizations, and the expedition course, which was pioneered by our faculty to take students to distant locations to observe professional communication in practice. I’d also like to thank those of you who have continued to support us with your time, energy, expertise and financial contributions.
