Awarded to one graduating H.S. senior from Monmouth County and Ocean County, NJ, who will be pursuing a career in a field of communication (reporting, marketing, public relations). Renewable for a total of four (4) years pending satisfactory academic progress. Award: $1,500 (2).
Undergraduate or graduate. Asian Pacific American student with a demonstrated ability and serious career interest in journalism or mass communication. Award based on scholastic achievement, essay, recommendation, commitment to community and financial need. Award: Up to $2,000.
Junior or senior undergraduate and graduate students who aspire to a career in radio. Must have 3.0 or better GPA, be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, financial need considered. Award: $2,000.
Awarded for one scholastic year for degree work at junior, senior, graduate level at a campus where at least one department is a BEA institutional member. Must show evidence of superior academic performance and potential. Award: $1,250-$3,000.

Minority resident of Philadelphia, awarded to H.S. senior with minimum 3.0 GPA, major in journalism, communication or business. Should demonstrate interest in the publishing industry, academically sound and college bound. Award: $500 - $20,000 (2-3).
Open to Metro St. Louis residents in junior, senior, or graduate year of college. Must have desire to pursue journalism and exhibit writing talent. Award: (17+) $750 - $2,500.

For students pursuing degree in law, political science, communication, or education. Based on academic record, financial need, and career potential. Awards: $10,000 Adelaide Melbourne Holmes Scholarship, $5000 Car Smith Scholarship, $2000 Coleman-Timolat Scholarship, and $2000 John Parker Scholarship.
