Assistant Professor
Dr. Maha Bashri received her BA in French from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. She has worked as a Public Relations officer for both Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF- Doctors Without Borders) and the United Nations in Sudan. Dr. Bashri received both her Masters and Ph.D. in Mass Communication with emphasis on International Communication from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Her research interests are in the areas of international communication, political communication, and the effects of communication on development in Third World countries. Dr. Bashri has been a faculty member for three years in the department of Communication at Bradley University.
