Sports Communication
Ms. Angela Pratt joins the Department of Communication as an ABD Assistant Professor of Communication to teach in our new Sports Communication program. Ms. Pratt is a doctoral candidate in the School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee. She holds an M.A. from the College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina and a B.A. from Campbell University. Ms. Pratt has extensive professional experience in sports communication including posts as Sports Sales Manger for the Greater Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau, Assistant Director of Marketing for the University of Virginia Department of Athletics, Public Relations Director at Raleigh Capital Express (A-League Pro Soccer), and Media Relations Intern for the Charlotte Hornets (National Basketball Association). She also qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
