Book Arts and Letterpress Printing
There are currently two courses in Book Arts offered at Bradley. The Department of Art is in the process of developing its book arts area with expanded binding and printing facilities, focusing on letterpress printing, traditional and experimental binding structures and interdisciplinary projects.
A component of this has been a connection wtih the Peoria community, in particular the Prairie Center of the Arts and with the local graphic designers who enjoy coming in and printing on open-studio days. Letterpress has been going through resurgence in recent years, and Bradley has brings together the expertise, equipment and resources for a truly outstanding book arts experience that is a complement to degree programs in graphic design, printmaking and photography.
